Community commitment to you


The community is committed to creating an environment for our members that provides an amazing space to discuss, learn and share. We strive to create an environment of intellectual honesty, respect, and openness. This Honour Code lays out the principles for how we expect our members to engage and conduct themselves as members.

Honour code pledge


By joining the community, I agree that I will:

  • Treat all members with respect in all engagements. Be collaborative and help and support members
  • Not use offensive, or abusive language and will not post any content that may be seen to be offensive.
  • Not perform any of the acts on the prohibited conduct list.
  • Not share any information which is confidential 

Rules for conduct


You agree that you are responsible for your own use of community site and for all content submitted, posted, published, or distributed by you to community members site or on the associated telegram channel. You agree that you will use anything you learn in the community in compliance with these agreements, and all applicable local, state, national and international laws, rules and regulations, including copyright laws, any laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from your country of residence, and all United States export control laws. You agree that by being a member you have read, understand, and accept the community Terms of Service.

Prohibited conduct 


The following is a list of prohibited conduct:

  • Posting or sharing content that defames, harasses or threatens others.
  • Plagiarising, borrowing or in any way using work that is not your own and not acknowledging the original author or source.
  • Content that discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.
  • Content that infringes another’s intellectual property, including, but not limited to, copyrights or trademarks.
  • Profane, pornographic, obscene, indecent or unlawful content.
  • Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation.
  • Content related to partisan political activities.
  • Viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, corrupted files, malware, spyware, or any other similar software that may damage the operation of another’s computer or property.
  • Content that contains intentionally inaccurate information or that is posted with the intent of misleading others.

Intellectual property


In order to protect confidential information, we recommend that you avoid disclosing or sharing any sensitive or confidential information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to disclose any information you share. You accept the risks for any information you develop or disclose whist being a community member including the risk that fellow community members may use this information without your permission.

Violations


If you are found to be in violation of the Honour Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions and any other actions for violations as stated in the community Terms of Service:

  • Termination of your membership of the community.
  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of the community

Honour Code violations will be determined at the discretion of Aaron Elahi, the DAO community founder.

You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this Honour Code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
